Service Description
Sometimes you don’t need an edit. You need to talk it through. This one-to-one editorial consultation gives you dedicated time to discuss your writing, your questions and where you’d like to take your project next. We can work through plot problems, character development, structure, pacing, feedback you’ve received, your next draft, or simply the part of your story you can’t quite make work. Before our session, you’ll have the opportunity to tell me a little about your project and what you’d most like to discuss, so we can make the most of our time together. You’ll leave with an experienced editorial perspective, practical guidance and clear next steps for moving your work forward. 60-minute online consultation.
Cancellation Policy
Consultations are 45 minutes and begin at the time booked. You can cancel or reschedule your appointment online; where possible, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. If you’re running late, the consultation may still need to finish at the original end time so that later appointments are not affected. If I need to rearrange the meeting, I’ll contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative time. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be eligible for a refund. The consultation is a focused conversation about your manuscript, your editorial goals and the kind of support that may be most useful. It does not include a full manuscript assessment, written editorial report or editing of your work unless this has been agreed separately.
